On 13 October 2025, the PeerMent project dissemination event was held in İzmir, Türkiye, bringing together professionals, educators, and stakeholders from the creative and cultural sectors to explore the role of mentoring in supporting professional development and collaboration.

The event introduced participants to the PeerMent project, which focuses on strengthening mentoring practices within the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI). In many creative fields, mentoring often happens informally, without clear structures or tools. PeerMent aims to address this by developing practical resources that support both mentors and mentees in building effective and meaningful mentoring relationships.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn about the main outputs of the project. These include the MENTRA mentor training programme, the MENTGEE mentoring tools for mentees, and the Mentoring Online Platform (MOP), which provides a digital environment for mentoring interaction and collaboration.

The event also introduced participants to the PeerMent learning resources, including the self-learning video series and online learning materials designed to make mentoring knowledge more accessible to professionals and educators working in creative environments.

Beyond presenting the project results, the dissemination activity created space for discussion and exchange. Participants shared their own experiences of mentoring within the creative sector and discussed the importance of strengthening mentoring cultures and peer learning practices within creative communities.

The dissemination event in İzmir contributed to raising awareness about the PeerMent project and encouraged participants to explore and use the project’s open-access resources to support mentoring and professional development in the creative and cultural industries.
