MENTGEE is a structured mentoring handbook developed within the PeerMent project to support responsible, reflective, and effective mentoring practices in the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI).
The guide was co-created by the project partners to complement the MENTRA training programme and to provide mentors with a practical reference resource that can be used independently or alongside structured training activities. It was developed in response to the need for clearer mentoring frameworks, tools for expectation management, and structured reflection within creative sector mentoring relationships.
MENTGEE supports mentors in strengthening autonomy-oriented mentoring approaches while maintaining ethical awareness and role clarity.
MENTGEE expands on the themes addressed in the training programme and translates them into practical, easy-to-use tools that mentors can integrate directly into their mentoring practice.
The guide includes structured frameworks, conversation prompts, scenario-based reflections, and practical templates tailored to the realities of mentoring in CCI environments.
Key features of the mentoring guide include:
MENTGEE is designed for:
Professionals acting as mentors in the Creative and Cultural Industries
Trainers and facilitators working with mentoring groups
Cultural organisations integrating mentoring into their programmes
Individuals preparing to take on mentoring roles
The guide supports both experienced mentors seeking structured refinement and professionals beginning to formalise their mentoring practice.
MENTGEE is available as an open educational resource and can be accessed below.
